Wind Turbine Access for Emergency Responders (WTAFER)

This course is for members of the rescue services who may need to perform a rescue at a wind turbine.

Wind turbines pose some unique challenges in that they are often in rural areas and/or are difficult to reach. Those working on wind turbines may be in potentially confined spaces, where a rescue is a challenging task for emergency responders. Rescue 3 has developed the internationally certified Wind Turbine Access for Emergency Responders (WTAFER) course to help organisations maintain high safety standards at all times.

Prerequisites

Technical Rope Rescue Operations Level (TRROL) or above, or Rope Rescue Operator (RRO) or above. Qualification valid for 3 years.

Entry Requirements

Participants must be 18yrs and over.
