Verification of Competency (VOC) course requirements are site and/or company-specific. If a company you work for, or a worksite you are visiting, requests a current VOC for a specific piece of plant, or in order to undertake a particular task, you will need to comply with the request in order to undertake the work.

It is no longer acceptable for employers to assume an employee is competent, which makes VOC assessment key for contractual arrangements and pre-employment competency checks.
