This course applies to individuals employed as technicians and installers who are required to safely install or repair telecommunications equipment on roof structures.
Exposing students to working at heights risks in multiple real-life scenarios helps them understand how to manage those risks in the workplace. Students will be able to identify the hazards of work at height and have an understanding of key legislation.
Following training, students will be able to understand the various categories of personal fall prevention and protection equipment (PPE), including their characteristics and limitations. Students will also be required to carry out pre and post use inspections of all equipment.
There are no prerequisites for the course. All students must be eligible to receive nationally recognised training within Australia and be able to provide an unique student identifier (USI) upon enrolment.
Please refer to the student handbook located at the bottom of that page for learners’ rights, responsibility and support, and any complaints.
Training can be conducted at your work site or off-site at one of our purpose-built training facilities.
