Operate elevating work platform

This course gives students the skills and knowledge required to operate an elevating work platform (EWP) under 11 metres. The work required in this unit relates to the national standard for high-risk work.

Boom-type elevating work platform means a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.

NB: Competence in this unit does not in itself result in a high-risk work license to operate this plant.

Once the SafeWork NSW assessment has been successfully completed, students will receive a SafeWork NSW Notice of Satisfactory Assessment (NSA) which is valid for 60 days. A license application fee is payable to Australia Post for the nationally recognised license card, which is issued by SafeWork NSW and needs to be renewed every five (5) years.

Entry Requirements

Participant must:

  • Have the ability to read, write and understand English
  • Present photo I.D. on arrival
  • Wear normal work clothing and enclosed footwear
  • Be eligible to receive nationally recognised training within Australia and provide a valid unique student identifier (USI) upon enrolment
Training and Facility

Training can be conducted at your work site or off-site at one of our purpose-built training facilities.
