Lock Out Tag Out

This lockout, tag out (LOTO) training course provides staff with the skills and responsibility of lock out, tag out procedures within an organisation. It also covers a PCBU’s “Duty of Care” for lock out, tag out procedures within your organisation.

Our lockout/tag out program will help prevent:

  • Contact with a hazard while performing tasks that require the removal, by-passing, or deactivation of safe guarding devices.
  • The unintended release of hazardous energy (stored energy).
  • The unintended start-up or motion of machinery, equipment, or processes.

There are no prerequisites for the course

Objectives and Content
  • Plan and prepare for isolating and accessing plant or equipment
  • Isolate plant
  • Complete permit-to-work form
  • Return plant or equipment to service

Entry Requirements

Participants must have:

  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Present photo I.D. on arrival
  • Wear normal work clothing, enclosed footwear
