This course has been designed for those who work on construction sites, it covers key areas that they should have an awareness of.
Course will provide the following awareness modules:
Heat Awareness - This course will provide you with a clear understanding to prevent recognise and treat heat stress related disorders.
Basic Fire Extinguisher Awareness - This course will provide you with a clear understanding of how to select and operate fire extinguishers in the workplace
Asbestos Awareness - This course will cover the issues that you need to be aware of with regards asbestos and the precautions to take when it is identified.
Legionella Awareness - This course will cover the issues that you need to understand with regards to legionella.
Construction Dust & Silica Awareness - This course has been designed to give delegates an awareness of the types of dusts that are found in construction and the hazards they pose.
Slips, Trips & Falls Awareness - Slips and trips are the most common cause of injury at work. On average, they cause over a third of all major injuries and can lead to other types of accidents, such as falls from height or falls into machinery. This course will go through how to reduce the risk in your workplace.
Manual Handling - This course will cover the issues that you need to be aware of with regards manual handling in the workplace. It looks at the control measures required to protect employees.
Drug & Alcohol Awareness -The course will cover subjects such as Police drug and alcohol testing, what is tested, what is a standard drink and what constitutes a zero-tolerance policy. The following will also be covered, types of testing, testing standards and what if workers refuse to be tested.
